Basketball programs in the Yampa Valley are available for all ages: Recreational, Competitive, and Adult.

Recreational Programs

Unfortunately we will NOT be running a K-2 program this spring. Due to gym space and availability. Please look at our summer camp option below.

Summer Camps

  • Registration opens May 11
  • Boys and girls in K-8th grades, in June 2020.

Competitive Programs

Competitive programs are available for boys and girls, grades 5th - 12th, with opportunities for travel.

NEW 2019 - 970 Hoops, a new offering by Coach Michael Vandahl. Click HERE for more information. The cost of this program is rolled into registration for all competitive teams.

HAB HIGH SCHOOL Select Teams 9th - 12th grade

  • Registration opens March 1st for all teams.
  • Tryouts will be held Sunday March 15 at SSHS. Players need to register for a $15 fee.
  • Once the team has been made, we will charge the final fee per team.
  • Boys 2:00 - 3:30 pm
  • Girls 3:30 - 5:00 pm
  • New THIS YEAR (2020) - HAB is creating a new schedule for it's High School Program. We will now offer a spring schedule and fall schedule. The spring season ($295) will be a 4 week season running Mid-March to Mid-April. We will participate in two tournaments and be done by Spring Break. Fall season ($395) will be a six week season running September through October 31. We will participate in three tournaments. Tournaments may be one-day and/or two-day overnight tournaments.

Vision: Participants will develop knowledge, skills and love of the game of basketball while simultaneously emphasizing respect, accountability, and perseverance. Our approach is to teach in a consistent and best of class manner and to serve as a support system for all middle and high school programs within the Western Slope region.
