Fall Madness 5/6th 5v5

This 5v5 league is for players looking to advance their skill and play a bunch of basketball. It is our first foray back into 5v5 for our youth players. We're excited to have your children join us!

Dates and Times:

This session will run from October 17th - December 9th (7 weeks skipping Thanksgiving). It will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays. Practice and game times will depend on number of registrants. The first few weeks would be held more as a skills and open gym to evaluate players and put together balanced teams. Those sessions will take place 6-7:30 pm.

My hope is to then have four teams which allows us to have two time slots, 6-7:15 and 7:20-8:35. Teams would rotate time slots once teams are put together for practices and games.

Additional Information:

Registrations will be open through the first week of the season. Late sign ups and attendance will be more stringent. Please plan accordingly and sign up on time.

Scholarships will be available and can the form can be found here. Currently, it requires you complete it before the season starts and you must sign up first and adjustment will be made on the backend in the form of a refund if/when a scholarship is awarded.

We plan on providing training and practice time for skill development with some HAB or 970hoops instructors. Coaches clinics will also be held to help all our players get great instruction. All games will be held during the weeknight sessions.

Games will be 5v5 full court. They will be 24 minutes of running clock with a halftime. Coaches will have two 30 second timeouts. Fouls will result in possession of the basketball. Under two minutes in the second half, shooting fouls will result in a free throw for 2 points.

Nights will consist of a 15-30 minute practice and skills time followed by games.

Players will be responsible for their jersey. If they do not have a reversible shirt, they will need to bring a white and black shirt to each session.

Note: Times and sessions are subject to change based on number of registrations, gym availability, or any number of things. We will do our best to navigate and communicate accordingly.

We need coaches!

No experience necessary, we are extremely appreciative of our volunteers. We need as much help as possible and are looking for at least one coach per team. We will support our coaches with handbooks and techniques so that you feel confident with your team. Lots of our learning will be done by the players through trial and error. We believe this allows for creativity and growth!
